Looking back on 2007, I got to work with a talented vocal percussionist by the name of Leejay Abucayan. It was within 10 minutes of arriving at a show I was invited to at UCDavis called Rooted Movement, that the question was asked,
“You wanna collaborate?”
Within 1 practice in another room, we put together this 2 song medley that I didn’t know, would spark an experience that I have the privilege of having, present day.
Leejay is one of my best friends that I consider a brother til this day, and we have gotten the opportunity of sharing laughter, nostalgia, feel-good music, and messages that would make your momma wanna go to the show lol.
